Before you can begin running ads on Facebook you must have a Facebook business page. Once you setup your business page on Facebook the next thing you will need to do is login to your ads account and connect your business profile.

Generally with Facebook ads, you have 3 main areas that require attention:

The Creative:

This is the actual ad itself, it could be a video or an image but I highly recommend using a video instead of an image as you can get better data from it and you will generally get better results from a video than an image.

Image creatives that work best are time lapse videos of washing or simple explainer videos talking about your service and while its valuable/ useful.

The Targeting:

In order to get the best results from your ad campaign you need to make sure that the right people are seeing your ads.

I have found that it works best to target people ages 35 and up because people this age are more likely to own a home or manage properties.

It also helps target people who are interested in home improvement as this is a common category of people who are willing to invest in services like pressure washing to improve their home.

The Goal:

Typically when running Facebook ads for pressure washing there are two main goals that people will select; Messages campaign, and Traffic campaigns. Both have their pros and cons and both can be useful for generating leads.

Message campaigns are great because there is very little friction for the user and Facebook prefers you to run this type of campaign since it keeps the user on Facebook rather than sending the user to a different website.

The benefit of message campaigns is that you will generally get more leads for a cheaper overall price. There are many different options available to you to get pressure washing clients, I will cover some of the best methods that have worked for me. I will cover both free and paid options for marketing your pressure washing business.

Door knocking is an easy way to get pressure washing clients fast and reliably. If you are able to get past the self doubt and knock on at least 100 doors per day you will see encouraging results.

The key to successful door knocking is to have a great attitude and be prepared. Have a simple scripts in your mind and practice it enough so that you can move faster and spend less time thinking about what to say.

Standard Terms and Conditions

1) Legally Binding Agreement:

By signing a contract with Eco Clean, you are signing a legally binding contract for work to be completed at an agreed-upon price. In the event that you break this contract, all deposits made to the company shall be surrendered as damages.

2) Product Warranties:

All warranties are limited to those offered by the manufacturers of the products used. Eco Clean makes no additional warranties. If you ever have a concern regarding our work, Eco Cleanshould be notified immediately.

3) Water Usage:

By signing this agreement, you agree to provide Eco Clean the right to use an on-site water supply as needed to complete the stated project without compensation. If an exterior water supply is required, it will be at an additional charge. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure the water supply is on and in working order before we arrive. Additional charges will be applied if water is not available.

4) Electrical Usage:

By signing this agreement, you agree to provide Eco Clean the right to use an on-site source of electricity as needed to complete the stated project without compensation. If an exterior source is required it will be at an additional charge.

5) Color and Tone Concerns:

The properties and species of wood age and weather can greatly affect the resulting color or tone of the stain. Note: Variances may occur on individual boards as well as the total project, as densities and other characteristics vary across and throughout the wood. Eco Clean and its associates attempt to represent the final finish color and tones as best as possible. While we can often give you an idea of the overall color or tone you must expect some variance in the overall finish.

6) Courtesy:

While Eco Clean is on location and performing work on your property, you are responsible for keeping all children and pets, as well as other individuals away from the work area. Children and pets must be kept off the work surface for at least 24 hours after our work is completed. This is for your safety as well as our own.

7) Payments:

Payments to Eco Clean are due as per the contract schedule and are to be paid by check or cash. All balances are ALWAYS due upon completion of the job. Any variance to this policy must be agreed upon and in writing on our contract. Late charges will be immediately assessed on all balances not paid in accordance with contract terms. The customer agrees to pay any collection cost incurred by Eco Clean related to the collection process of outstanding balances.

8) Scheduling:

Scheduling in a business which productivity relies upon the weather can be difficult. Inclement weather may affect scheduling. We try our best to keep scheduling conflicts to a minimum, however, circumstances that are beyond our control may affect your project start and completion dates. You will be notified of any changes.

9) Removal & Replacement of Deck Contents:

Removal and replacement of grills, deck furniture, planters and any other items are the responsibility of the homeowner. Should we need to remove items from the deck, we will not be responsible for any damage, breakage or for storage issues. An additional charge may be applied for the time and labor devoted to the removal of these items.

10) Damages:

Eco Clean is not responsible for damages due to improperly installed siding, loose shingles or siding, broken or opened windows, improperly sealed windows and doors, wood rot, defective construction, improperly secured wires, loose or improperly installed gutters, and leaders and improper caulking. In every aluminum siding case and in some cases with vinyl siding, the sun and weather will bleach the color or cause fading. Power washing, which entails the removal of chalky, gritty, or failing surface materials may cause the faded aspects of the vinyl or aluminum to stand out. Eco Clean will not be responsible for such conditions. Eco Clean will not be responsible for loose mortar that may dislodge during the cleaning process.

11) Stains:

Some stains cannot be removed by power washing. Tree sap, artillery fungus, splatters from stains and paints are examples of materials that cannot be removed by conventional means. We make every attempt to point these areas out to the customer when quoting the project. Sometimes these stains cannot be removed at all.

12) Watertight:

Eco Clean Services expects your property to be in good repair and weathertight. This includes, but is not limited to all electrical services including receptacles and light fixtures. Doors and windows shall also be weathertight. Eco Clean Services is not responsible for damages as a result of water infiltration from poor or improper installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical-related items or doors or windows. Eco Clean cannot guarantee removal of artillery fungus from exterior house surfaces.

13) Window Spotting:

Windows may become water spotted as a result of our services. Window cleaning is NOT included.

14) Concrete:

The appearance of concrete depends on a number of factors most linked to when the concrete was initially poured and cured. When concrete with dirt, mold, mildew, algae and other pollutants and stains is cleaned, the concrete will then reveal any and all imperfections that the pollutants and stains have covered up. The customer understands that not all concrete will look the same even on the same driveway, patio, sidewalk, or concrete slab.

Soft washing is known for it's ability to remove algae, mold, mildew and dirt from exterior surfaces that wouldn't have been able to be cleaned otherwise.

As you can see pictured above, this is a dry-vit material that was cleaned using the soft wash method. Dry-vit is a very delicate surface so pressure washing a surface like this is simply not an option because it will cause damage.

The process works by using a low pressure chemical pump to apply the soft washing cleaning chemicals and then after a 10-15 dwell time, the cleaning solution is thoroughly rinsed off leaving behind a perfectly clean surface.

What Chemicals Are Used For Soft Washing?

Generally soft washing chemicals consist of two parts. The first part is the Algicide, this is the part that kills algae, mold, and mildew it is also great for removing wasps nests and spider websites. The most common algicide using in professional soft washing is Sodium Hypochlorite.

The second part of the soft washing solution is the surfactant. This part of the soft washing solution serves many purposes; it allows the algicide to cling to the surface for much longer, keeps the surface wet for longer, and clings to all of the dirt and loose particles on the surface.

At the start of the rinsing process, the surfactant will make it much easier for the bugs, dirt, and cobwebs and rinse away without stubbornly clinging to the walls.

How Do You Apply The Soft Washing Solution?

There are many different ways to apply soft wash solution. The most common method for applying soft washing solution is through a down stream injector and a pressure washer. This is the most simple setup for soft washing. Many people refer to the use of a down stream injector as "down streaming".

The other popular method is to use a soft wash pump and metering valves. There are many different styles of soft wash pumps including 12v systems, gas systems, air diaphragm pumps.

Davis Shooter Tip 3 Story Reviews And More

So far the Davis Shooter Tip has been great compared to some of the other tips that I've used for soft washing in the past. The shooter tip allows us to reach high peaks by keeping the stream of water more concentrated and focused rather than spraying out in all directions like with the pink tip.

The shooter tip makes washing in the wind much easier even with a smaller pump like a 4gpm or less. The shooter tip is a high flow soap tip which means that if you are using it with a downstream injector it will pull chemical. We use it to pull SH and then manually cutoff the down stream injector to rinse.

Comparing the Davis Shooter Tip To Some Of The Other Tips On The Market:

#1 Adjustable Soap Tip

This tip can be found at Walmart and Home Depot. I have gone through 4-5 of these over the past few years. They work well for the first couple uses but quickly begin to leak which can be irritating as it causes valuable SH to spill in the grass as you soap.

Although this tip is good for adjusting between a stream and a fan tip, the stream is not able to reach as high as a typical 0 tip.

#2 Standard Pink & Blue Tips

The standard pink and blue tips are common beginner tips that can be found at Lowes and online at Amazon. When I first started soft washing, I relied often on the pink tip for soaping and the blue tip for rinsing. The pink tip allows more flow than the blue tip which allows the down stream injector to active and pull chem.

One problem with the pink and blue tips is that they can struggle to reach the peaks of certain houses in some scenarios especially when using a lower gpm pressure washer.

I have washed many houses with and without using the Davis Shooter Tip. I personally recommend the shooter tips.
